Google Removal Tools

To hide content and check third-party reporting

Google just launched three new removal tools that should help website owners quickly remove outdated and irrelevant content from their sites and gain some visibility on how third parties are reporting their content.

In this article Google describes 3 tools that are now available via the Search Console:

    • Temporary removals

A temporary removal request is a way to remove specific content on your site from Google Search results.

    • Outdated content

The outdated content section provides information on removal requests made through the public Remove Outdated Content tool.

    • SafeSearch filtering

The SafeSearch filtering section in Search Console shows a history of pages on your site that were reported by Google users as adult content using the SafeSearch Suggestion tool.

If you are looking after your own website, or someone elses, then it would be well worth 10 minutes just to read the features Google has now made available to help ensure your content is up to date and accurate.
